Khost City Expands Road Network with New Infrastructure Projects
The provincial government said in a statement that the works, funded at over 21 million afghanis (approximately $328,000), aim to improve urban infrastructure, strengthen transportation links, and reduce the impact of flooding during heavy rainfall periods.
Officials noted that the newly finished roads are expected to improve traffic movement across the city, make it easier for residents to travel, and enhance the efficiency of public service delivery.
Local authorities along with community representatives described the projects as an important development for the city, saying they support ongoing urban expansion and help address the growing demands of the local population.
